Enjoying Holiday Music

Every year, I look forward to the Christmas holiday season. I love decorating a large, beautiful tree, baking delicious, seasonal desserts, going to holiday parties, and spending time with my parents at their farm. Because I’m a singer and a musician, I also like to listen to Christmas music. Sometimes, I listen to holiday tunes for several hours at the time. Whether I’m cleaning my home, driving down the road, or cooking dinner, my mood instantly improves after listening to some of my favorite holiday songs. On this blog, I hope you will gain an appreciation for holiday music. Enjoy!

Gift Ideas For The Musician In Your Life

Blog

When you have a musician in your life, whether they are a close family member, your child, or a person you are in a relationship with, you may find it difficult to pick out the perfect gifts for them when you are holiday or birthday shopping. This is especially true if you are not particularly musical yourself. Rather than getting them a gift certificate to buy or download music or some other semi-generic gift, get to know some of the ways that you can find gifts that will delight and wow the musician in your life. Then you can begin planning and shopping for the perfect gift.

Time In A Recording Studio

Every aspiring musician dreams of the day when they can set foot in a real recording studio and record their music using professional equipment. If you really want to wow and impress the musician in your life, you can book them time in a professional recording studio.

Most studios offer package deals for people to use the studio equipment and record demos or CDs of the music they play while in the studio. You will want to be sure that you book at least two to three hours or more if you choose this gift. This amount of time will allow your loved one to get accustomed to performing in the studio and also can help them to go through their songs several times to get them right before their allotted time is up. You may also want to consider a package that includes free copies of the demos recorded so that your loved one can keep and share their accomplishments with others.

For a local recording studio, contact a company such as Sonic Farm Studio.

Cymbal Or Other Musical Instrument Art

If you want to go in a different, but still music-themed direction, you can actually purchase works of art created on or using musical instruments. One such example is artwork painted on drum cymbals.

Some artists will create abstract designs using these cymbals while others can actually be commissioned to paint portraits of your loved one's favorite musicians or singers onto the cymbals themselves. Painted guitars that can be hung as wall art or used as actual instruments can also be custom designed for you to give as gifts to your loved one. Find an artist and/or a used musical instrument that looks interesting and turn it into a true work of art that your loved one will adore.

Now that you have a few ideas for gifts to get the musician in your life, you can start your search anew with creative and unique gift options in mind.
